1 /5 Mujib Ahamad: Just Wasted 75£ !! Couldn’t eat anything. Absolutely terrible experience at Al Hashim Khybar Restaurant! We ordered Kabuli Polau, Lamb Karai, and Chapli Kabab, and everything was a disaster. The lamb was undercooked and smelled awful—definitely not fresh. The Kabuli Polau seemed like it was made two days ago, tasteless, with broken rice. To make things worse, they served some red bean curry that looked unfit for human consumption. When we brought up these issues, the staff simply didn’t care. No apologies, no attempt to fix anything. The service was just as bad as the food. Avoid this place at all costs—there are far better options out there! Not recommended at all!

3 /5 Samiul Alam: Al Hashim Khyber Restaurant is known for its authentic Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa cuisine, and we finally had the chance to try their famous Kabuli Mahecha Pulao and Peshwari Chapli Kebab. The food certainly lived up to its reputation, the pulao was rich, fragrant, and packed with deep, meaty flavors, while the chapli kebab had just the right balance of spice and juiciness. However, a few service aspects left something to be desired. The restaurant usually serves a red bean curry with their meals, but unfortunately, they didn’t offer it on our visit. Additionally, the portion of salad provided for three meals was quite small, which felt a bit disproportionate. One of the more surprising parts of our experience was when we requested tap water, only to be told that it wasn’t available. This was a bit unexpected, as it’s a common courtesy in most restaurants. The biggest inconvenience, however, came at the end when we went to pay. Despite no visible signs or prior notice, the restaurant does not accept card payments, meaning I had to step out in search of a cash machine before settling the bill. A bit of a hassle in an otherwise enjoyable dining experience.

3 /5 Muhammad Dar: I visited Al Hashim Restaurant with my cousins and friends. The atmosphere was very nice and welcoming, but there were quite a lot of mosquitoes, which made it a bit uncomfortable at times. We ordered Chicken Tikka, Lamb Charsi Karahi, and Desi Butter Chicken Karahi — all the food was fresh overall. The Desi Butter Chicken Karahi is highly recommended — very delicious and had an authentic desi flavour. However, the Lamb Charsi Karahi had a strong lamb smell which I didn’t like. The Green Tea with Jaggery (Gur) was a lovely touch — light, sweet, and very refreshing after the meal. The table service was average. We also ordered Mango Lassi, but they told us their juicer/blender wasn’t working, so we couldn’t have it. The bill came to over £125, but they said they couldn’t take card payment, so we had to pay via bank transfer instead. Overall, great food and nice vibes, but they should improve their service, fix the payment issue, and definitely do something about the mosquitoes.

1 /5 ali khan: Very bad experience. Visited with my family and guests for iftar. Made an order £150+ Placed my order 3 hours before Iftar to avoid delays as I have children who were fasting as well yet the food was served inappropriately after 30 mins of Iftar. Dirty plates, less staff and the poor guys are struggling to catch up with the pace on the floor. Manager on the floor is not cooperative at all. He needs to be trained for customer services. Obviously not recommended and will never be going there again.
