5 /5 Bilal: Al jaziira’s rice is perfectly seasoned, and the vegetables add a nice touch of flavour. The lamb is very tender. Their soup is also delicious and comforting. The portion sizes are incredibly filling. I recommend this place for authentic somali food.

5 /5 Zee: The food is top notch, been to various Somalian restaurants, brothers, Sabiib etc This by far is the best. Quality is high, prices are good and portions are great. Family favourite, whether dining in, takeaway or getting our parties catered, they never fail to deliver. Friendly staff, Abubakar is amazing, super helpful and goes out of his way to make you feel welcomed. You wont be disappointed.

4 /5 asli adventures: When I crave lamb, this is the only place I go. If you like lamb or Somali food, this is definitely the place to visit. Especially on Fridays and Sundays — the lamb on those days tastes different, extra fresh and very flavourful. Portions are big and satisfying. It’s a busy and lively place. It can be noisy, with staff chatting and customers talking loudly. Sometimes you have to work a bit to get the staff’s attention, but honestly, it’s worth it for the food. Don’t feel shy — just walk in, find a seat, and enjoy a proper meal

5 /5 Sam Holland: Proper hidden gem. Don’t let the appearance fool you, this place is well worth a visit. Every time I’m in east London, this is where I’m eating. The lamb mandi is stunning. The sauces are spicy and excellent. The rice is cooked to perfection and the perfect balance of sweet and savoury. Value for money, this place is hard to beat. I love how it’s full of locals. Feels a proper traditional Somali dining experience. They were amused at my confusion of being served a banana with my food, which I’m told is a Somali staple. Tried it the Somali way, and they were right.
