shahirul bashar Visited Chipping Wharf today and was genuinely impressed from the moment I walked in. The shop is spotless, beautifully presented, and clearly run with pride and attention to detail. I recognised the brothers from Café East, which is also excellent, so my expectations were already high and they still exceeded them.
The food was exceptional and, without exaggeration, this is the best fish and chips I’ve had in East London by far. The cod was incredibly fresh with no unpleasant smell at all, cooked perfectly, and the portion size was very generous. Every sauce was spot on, the homemade tartare sauce was outstanding, the curry sauce is easily the best I’ve had, and even the homemade coleslaw stood out for its quality and flavour.
It’s clear these guys really know their craft. True experts who care deeply about quality, consistency, and customer experience. Highly recommended and I’ll definitely be returning.
