5 /5 Elizabeth Howard: I go past Aspen & Meursault every day on the bus to work and always think one day Ill try it. Well, today was that day.
We stopped in after work on Friday afternoon for a glass of wine and some snacks, and Im kicking myself for not going sooner!
Its a great little wine bar with a lovely outdoor seating area, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and an extensive wine list. The wines are all natural and organic, our server guided us through the options by talking about what wines we liked then making recommendations and bringing samples to try. We ended up having 3 different wines each and it was a very pleasant way to pass a sunny afternoon.
Theres a food menu too, but we only ordered snacky food - I highly recommend the "dirty tats", fried new potatoes with crispy nduja.
Between us we had 6 glasses of wine and 3 snacks and the bill came to £91, service included.
Im so glad I stopped by, this place is definitely on the favourites list.
