edmund price My first taste of west African food, the jollof was very nice, but personally I wish that it would be served with a separate side of yoghurt to balance out the spiciness. The spice was a bit of a surprise to me.
Atmosphere was wonderful, reminds me of a pannier market sort of atmosphere, even struck up conversations with complete strangers, that was nice.
For London it is cheap, about 14 quid a meal. Though that being said, in other parts of the UK you could get a good Sunday roast for ÂŁ14, is it equal to me to a roast dinner? no, but I imagine that many west Africans in London could enjoy this taste of home made for them, without the effort I imagine it takes to do yourself.
I suppose its worth trying at least once, because like me in my situation visiting the city from a rural backwater, it is worth seeing what the world has to offer
