4 /5 Jacob Hemley: Popped in to watch the football and grab some food, and it was a great atmosphere with friendly staff.
The food was a bit of a mixed bag, but some things were a real hit. The spicy beef cheek croquettes were delicious, and the chips were also very tasty. The sausages were a highlight—you could see the herbs and seasoning in them, and they tasted great. The fish and chips were good, but nothing amazing. The bread was a bit of a letdown though—it wasnt very soft or warm, and the butter was clumpy and not easy to spread.
It was a shame they didnt have deep-fried Mars bars and the staff didnt know about them. Overall, its a solid pub for a game and a bite to eat, but it was quite expensive.
