Santo Stopped by for lunch after a recommendation and had a great experience! We tried the Chilly Parotta, which was excellent great texture and spice and the Madras Thali, which was very authentic and flavorful. The service was top-notch; the staff were friendly and the food came out quickly. The restaurant has a lovely ambience and the hassle-free parking at Benbow Court makes the whole visit very easy. The only minor downside is the portion size. If you’re a big eater or a real foodie, the quantity might feel a little small for a full meal. However, the quality of the food is definitely there.

SR (Firehorseart) A small, well stocked cafe with many options for meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans. Great hygiene rating on the door. An interesting local community board on one wall. On my first visit I was happy to be able to get a vegetarian hot dog, whilst my friend had the meat one. As we had the meal option, they came with chips and a drink for £5.50. The chips were crispy and non-greasy, the canned drink came cold straight from the fridge. We enjoyed the food and the portions were large, so I took my chips home later, which was easy as they came in a greaseproof bag. My friend found the food prep wait (just after lunchtime) longer than theyd have liked but everything was well cooked and well wrapped ready to take away, so I thought it worth the wait. We were a bit puzzled about the takeaway wraps when we were eating in but it was nicely presented. No plates or glasses were offered at our table but we were offered wooden forks, salt and vinegar with our chips.

She was really friendly, polite, and paid attention to every detail while making my sandwich. It’s always nice when staff greet you with a smile and make you feel welcome—she definitely did that. Thanks, Elia, for making the visit such a positive one!

Chloe Aberdein Our server Bef, was absolutely fantastic this evening. She was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we were seated. Orders were taken promptly, everything arrived on time, and she checked in regularly without being intrusive. She had great knowledge of the menu and was happy to answer questions and make recommendations, which really enhanced our experience. Her positive attitude and professionalism made a big difference to our evening, and it was clear she genuinely cared about providing great service. Overall, Beefy helped make our visit enjoyable and memorable. Excellent service — thank you!

H I First time at Miller & Carter and I get it now. The steak was cooked absolutely perfectly — the kind of steak that makes you stop talking mid-sentence. Dessert didn’t mess about either. Everything on the plate just worked together far too well. Huge shout-out to Georgia for the service. Friendly, professional, and actually enjoyable to talk to. She kept everything running smoothly and made the whole experience feel relaxed. Great food, great service, and a dangerous place to visit if you like steak a bit too much. Would 100% come back again.
