Maureens Brixton Kitchen -

Felix Rodgers I had the curry goat with rice and peas, as well as mac and cheese, and a beef patty. The curry goat…honestly mind blowing!!!! My first time having it, and I’ll be having it a lot more from here. It tasted home cooked, with meat falling off the bone. Super juicy and succulent. The rice too had so much flavour. The Mac and Cheese was really tasty too. The patty didn’t have a lot beef in it but it was still super tasty, and only £2. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. I’d recommend anyone visiting Brixton to try this place out. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Danny in London Great box car restaurant specialising in MoMa and Benton boxes. Everything was excellent with a no frils restaurant.

Chris Hillier Amazing food, dont be put off by the exterior of the restaurant, the food inside is delicious. Not your standard Indian restaurant menu which is great to see, with everything we had being one of the best Indians we’ve had. 10/10 will be going again

RL Delightfully surprising - British food well done with rare attention to detail and care. Date loaf was a great mix of temperatures and textures (crunchy edges). Lamb was very comforting backed by a buttery sauce against the liquorice flavour of fennel. The tartare sauce with the devilled sprats was fresh - dill with some crunchy sour vegetables. I don’t know if we just chose well or if every dish is done at such high quality. Will come again to find out.

Sigrid R You wouldn’t believe from outside that this simple restaurant offers one of the most authentic Japanese food experience in London. The fish is amazingly fresh, and there’s a high variety of options as well. In addition to typical Japanese dishes, there’s also some ‘a la carte’ addition that represents typical side dish that you can find there (the boiled yellowtail with daikon is super tasty) It might not be the coziest place but you won’t be disappointed by your plate!
