5 /5 Rhea Che: After a lovely day wandering around Clapham we were definitely ready for some food. We stumbled upon Eco and thought, why not? Being Italian, you tend to judge Italian restaurants in London a little harshly, but hey, never judge a book by its cover, right? We grabbed a table outside and got stuck in.
I started with the porcini-truffle & smoked salmon bruschetta, while my friend, a proper Sicilian, went for their arancini. Then I spotted the venison ragu pappardelle on the menu and thought, wow, this is exactly what we’re talking about, while my friend chose a classic pizza, topped with some fries (questionable, but love and taste are subjective). Every dish was genuinely tasty and properly Italian.
But what really stole the show was the service. We have no idea if our server was a waiter, a manager, or the owner, but we have never seen anyone so clearly happy to be working in a restaurant. It really made our night. Thank you, and if you’re in the area, stop by, you won’t be disappointed.
