Richard Nice quiet place by the river. Good selection of veggie options, and the food is presented and tastes great whilst the prices were still reasonable. It has outdoor seating too, that even on a cold grey day; it was still nice to sit there and have a tasty lunch.

Iain Solly Simply a brilliant bar. Great atmosphere. Everyone is so friendly. Beer is amazing, cider, wine, sparkling perry. This pub has won national awards even pub of the year. Food is cracking and the decor and general layout is wonderful. If you get a chance drop in you will be very pleasantly surprised!

John Palfrey Ordered a take-away today for 5 people. It was cooked to perfection and served on time. We could see it being cooked in a clean environment. Staff were friendly and gave us some free Turkish Delight. Excellent service and food at a reasonable price.

Bernard Jones We are infrequent users of Fish and Chip shops nowadays - prices have unavoidably risen over the past year. However, this is by far and away the best place in town: they serve excellent quality fish, perfectly cooked in a thin crispy batter - its never greasy and soggy. Their chips are generally, but not always, excellent, they are never bad. I guess that depends on how busy they are and other factors. The good news is that the chips are never undercooked, unlike some places which have reduced their cooking temperatures in order to save on energy. The high price of fish at the supplier and high energy costs are key factors in the price of serving food these days. It seems that Saltwater has not compromised on quality. It should be remarked that they ate not at all the most expensive (in comparison with other local shops and shops in Sevenoaks snd Edenbridge where we have bought gish and chips in recent times). They have merged their premises with the chicken and chips Saltwater to make for a more spacious environment (see photo). That is a great improvement, especially when there is a crowd waiting on their order. I should add that their service is always efficient and friendly, even when there is a queue waiting on orders. They do not under-cook in order to deal with the queue. I cannot speak about their non-fish food like burgers since I only go there for fish and chips. If you have not tried them, do have a gon!

Steve Bishop Generous portions of great food served by friendly, attentive staff. A decent variety on the menu with a good amount of veggie options. If your experience is as good as ours, you should have a nice time.
