5 /5 Alan King: Josh was just the best host! We went there following a trip to see the big man on the Bluebell railway yesterday. Josh explained that he’d only opened up for some the local workers on the trading estate but welcomed 6-adults and 4 2/3-year olds in even whipping up some fantastic soup and freshly baked mozzarella topped focaccia that he’d done especially for us. Thank you Josh. Top man!

5 /5 Adam: Stopped off after a walk at Sheffield park, not fancying the typical NT fare. Really warm and cozy on a very cold day, with a delicious range of cakes and pastries and a superb looking pizza menu! We weren’t looking for a big lunch, and had the Chrozio, cider and focaccia between two - absolutely delicious. A great range of beers on tap and coffee! Highly recommended for a visit and we’ll be back for the pizzas soon!

5 /5 Phelps Nicola “Mama.P”: Such a lovely spot! We brought the kids for lunch on Valentine’s Day and had a great time. The space is bright and airy, the prices are very reasonable, and the food was fresh and absolutely delicious. The coffee was amazing too! Apparently the beer was “really nice” as well — although I’ll have to take my husband’s word for it, as I’m not a beer drinker!

Mariana Santos Carvalho Insanely divine meal. Definitely one of the best I’ve ever had in London. From the quality of the red wine to the taste perfectly combined tastes of the plates. The chocolate mousse was perfect as well. 10/10 will definitely return!!

Dermot Griffin Many years since we have been to Elys and it was a big relief, as many department stores have closed, to see that the store is flourishing. The restaurant is excellent, very nice decaf oat latte and a good selection of food.

Simon Boyd Had breakfast on a Sunday morning and we all found the breakfasts (both veggie and ordinary ones) AMAZING! Never had such tasty mushrooms and hashbrowns before! Staff were very pleasant and efficient; and seemed to genuinely enjoy workkng there. The cafe filled up with people throughout our breakfasts so its clearly a popular hot spot for locals! Saw that some tables were even booked so might be advised to do the same to avoid dissapointment.

Nora McRitchie Friendly and attentive staff, not at all put off by my dietary needs (coeliac, gluten free), were more than happy to accommodate and some allergen labelling on the menu as well. Food was delicious and very reasonably priced with generous portions!

April Macpherson Tried The Eagle for the first time and was so glad to have gotten a table straight away. I can see why it gets so busy with its great menu. An intimate layout with a vibrant atmosphere. Staff were attentive and food, wonderful!!
