1 /5 Juan Ruiz: I believe its been mentioned a couple of times before but the best way to describe this restaurants experience is "A gamble" . I came here with a group of 4 on a Sunday morning. We were intrigued by the breakfast options as they had some quirky ingredients in them. I got myself the Full Fagins...their version of a full english, with "Crispy Kale" and for whatever reason no beans. That should have been the red flag. I ordered an extra sausage because they apparently think its acceptable to only have ONE sausage for this plate..an extra sausage cost £2.5... Your choice of egg is either poached or poached, they might offer you fried food if youre lucky... I dont know why... asked about scrambled eggs but it was like we asked them to move the restaurant a bit closer to the beach...they wouldnt have it.
Drinks were fast which was nice but it took over an hour for the food to arrive. We were hungry, and it could have all been forgiven had they; one, acknowledged their slow service and two, had the food been good. Dont get me wrong, it looks good, it looks like the pictures but it was dry... so dry, the kale was so soggy it contaminated the rest of the ingredients so everything had a taste of kale.. bacon had been overcooked, poached eggs were good but again...no sauce, bread slice was annoyingly thin and the black pudding was like sawdust.
We were attracted by the decor and the pictures online of the food. Please avoid, theres so many better options around where you dont have to pay £20 for the disappointment/gamble. They are dog friendly so I guess thats a plus...depending on your mood.
