Liam Gilbert Great little shop full of all your SA essentials and a great freezer section full of goodies. Mark is a lovely guy and is really passionate about their stock. Definitely worth a stop by if you’re in the area.

Harpreet Chahal We were a large party of 8 people with a lot of bespoke pizza orders. Our waitress Fika was incredible in accommodating all of us, she was extremely attentive and every order came out perfectly. She also looked after my parents and recommended dishes for them based on what they liked. The food came out on time and everything was top notch. 10/10 from me and we will definitely be coming back.

Geoff Wilson Prathm served us with quiet attention. Food was excellent - would highly recommend the lamb kibbeh starter. Pan roasted salmon main was delicious as well.

Richard Appleton A pretty perfect dining experience, the food is absolutely outstanding and the starters/snacks are wonderfully varied and inventive, and all superb. Particular mention to the tuna starter and the cheese crumpet. The service is slick but not intrusive but the restaurant still retains a relaxed small town feel. The wine list is extensive without being stupidly sized with an excellent variety in both taste and price with plenty of options by the glass if preferred. It wasn’t worth reducing to a 4* review but if one was being extremely picky I would say the main course options were relatively limited outside of pure meat dishes (one fish, no vegetarian) and the portions are not huge, but that’s somewhat to be expected with food of this quality. Will visit again for sure

Kiran Nisar Absolutely outstanding – Megan made the night unforgettable This was my third time coming to The Griffin at Kingston, and somehow it just keeps getting better. I brought my friend here for his birthday and it was honestly incredible from start to finish. Megan was absolutely wonderful — so sweet, attentive, and genuinely kind. The service was perfect and made the whole evening feel special and relaxed. You can really tell when someone cares, and Megan truly does. Now the food… WOW. The vegan options here are out of this world. We had the mushroom kebab and the Christmas kebab, and both were spectacular — deeply flavourful, perfectly cooked, and honestly some of the best vegan food I’ve had anywhere. Just absolutely delicious. And the cake! The raspberry vegan cake was unreal. Even my friend, who isn’t vegan, absolutely loved it — which says everything. He was genuinely blown away by how good everything was. The atmosphere, the service, the food — everything was spot on. This place is a total gem, and I’ll be coming back again and again. Huge thank you to Megan and the whole team for such a memorable night. Highly, highly recommend.
