3 /5 Seb: Our visit to Go Sing Chinese Restaurant was a mixed bag. While the food was enjoyable and flavorful, the service was only average. Most of the staff seemed disengaged, giving us a few weird looks that made the atmosphere a bit uncomfortable. However, the gentleman who served us stood out with his patience and attentiveness, making our dining experience much more pleasant despite the lack of engagement from his colleagues.
The buffet menu is extensive, offering a wide variety of traditional dishes that cater to different tastes. We really enjoyed the honey wings, which were sweet and sticky, and the chicken chow mein had a nice balance of flavours. The Satay Chicken on skewers was tender and well-seasoned, while the crispy seaweed added a delightful crunch. The Kung Po Chicken was spicy and satisfying, and the fried rice noodles Singapore style was a delicious complement to our meal. However, the ribs were rather plain and didn’t have much flavour, and I wasnt a fan of the chicken or beef curries; they lacked the depth I was hoping for.
Overall, Go Sing offers a variety of dishes, some of which are quite tasty, but the service could use improvement. The gentleman who served us truly made a difference, standing out among disengaged staff. If youre looking for flavorful Chinese food and an extensive buffet menu and can overlook some awkward interactions, it might be worth a visit.
