4 /5 Jiwon Kokomong Kim: A great place to spend a chill Sunday. The Sunday roast we had for lunch was absolutely delicious. The beef was really flavorful, and there were plenty of vegetables, which made the meal feel very generous and satisfying.

4 /5 Dai Tree: Just a little review for the Guard House as most of the pub was booked out for a wedding reception. Best wishes to all involved. A fine place and good service, even off the cask badges were somewhat misleading. Never mind, a lovely place and worth a visit if you fancy a drink OR have just tied the knot!

4 /5 Apple Tang: Last Saturday we booked a private room at The Guard to host a birthday party. Overall, the experience was decent — the room was nice, the food tasted fine, and the staff were generally helpful. However, I was extremely disappointed with the portion size of the Mac and Cheese. We ordered two “10-person portions”, which should have been enough for 20 people. What we actually received was just one medium-sized bowl and one regular tray in total. Visually and practically, it was nowhere near enough for 20 people. Everyone at the party was genuinely shocked by how small the portions were. I immediately raised this with the staff. After coming in to check, they told me that this was already considered a 20-person portion. Honestly, this was very surprising and quite unacceptable. This amount would struggle to serve even 8–10 people properly, let alone 20. To make matters worse, the total cost for these two “10-person portions” was £80, which feels extremely unreasonable for what was provided. I have also attached photos so others can judge for themselves. The overall experience could have been much better if portion sizes were represented honestly and fairly.

5 /5 Lucie Fisher: We had a small reception here after our registry wedding at Woolwich town hall. Generally Souky was very helpful, in the build up to organising the wedding, always available and happy to meet in person. We ordered off the main catering menu but also hard additional bespoke food, I couldn’t fault any of it. Everyone’s at said how delicious the food was. Food was punctual, came out in a a nice flow so nothing went cold. The room had been presented really nicely, felt like a completely different place to when it was a pub. All of the staff were so friendly and ready to help any of our needs. We can’t thank you enough for helping us celebrate with our friends and family and making it such a stress free day. I would highly recommend for a smaller wedding ( we ended up having 90 people in two waves ) Thank you so much Souky and team!
