5 /5 Pete D: Looking for a great meal in an independent restaurant and wine bar? Then come along to Hammonds. Just by Oxted Station, as well as near car parking. The menu is extensive, but everything is fresh and good quality. Upstairs for larger meals, downstairs for the less formal. Quiz night on the 1st Tuesday of the month, gives you fun and food for £15/each. Good selection of non-alcoholic as well as wines at a reasonable price. (£7/lge glass) The website has more details and up to date menus. Look out for events and taster nights. Tried it yesterday and will be back for more.

5 /5 Gemma: We had a fabulous meal in the restaurant upstairs. The service was fantastic, and the food was incredible. I would go as far to say the best dining experience in our local area. The menu is excellent and the food cooked to perfection, the wine list is also very good with excellent English wines! I will definitely be visiting again. Thank you to the team there!

5 /5 Abi Slater: We had a gorgeous evening at Hammonds. I had been for drinks a couple of times before but had no idea they had an upstairs restaurant. The decor is great, comfy seats and a really lovely atmosphere. The cocktails are very very good, the food was excellent and we were served by the brilliant Izzy who really looked after us so well. When you have someone so lovely, attentive and fun serving you it really makes a good evening extra special. We will definitely be back again.

4 /5 Carlo Harmony: Although the selection of vegan dishes on the menu is limited, the chef compensates for this with their remarkable readiness to accommodate. Our server, Archie, was friendly and attentive. He took the time to consult with the chef regarding which dishes could be modified to be vegan and clearly outlined our choices. We were truly impressed that the chef graciously transformed several vegetarian options into fully vegan meals for us. The food we enjoyed was not only delicious but also beautifully presented—a genuine delight for both the eyes and the taste buds. The restaurant features a lovely decor that enhances the overall comfortable dining experience. In summary, the exceptional service provided by Archie and the kitchens willingness to adapt turned what might have been a limited selection into a fantastic meal. We will certainly return, although we hope to see an expanded menu in the future. Thank you.
