What Clients Are Saying Hampshire Restaurant, Basingstoke (GG)
3 /5 Peter Curnow-Ford: Okay, nothing special
4 /5 Ivo Delchev: Good food, not big menu but what they made is good.
5 /5 RJ Pollard: Really enjoyed the lounge and restaurant (great fish and amazing bread)! Woody, Joe, Igor, and Kat were very accommodating and Trish (Chef) had excellent dinner recommendations. Friendly staff and great food made for an excellent evening!
2 /5 Jordan Dorsett: Made a table reservation online through the hotel after the phone in our room was not able to connect to the front desk or the restaurant however they dont use the same list so avoid booking online. A table was made up within 15 minutes and 50 monutes later starters came out which were fine and very tasty, from there the mains were hugely disappointing arriving after the tables around us had gone through 2 courses each (mains and desserts)the kind waiter apologised for the delay and said some drinks were on the house and were just of poor quality the described loose flat cut steak was tougher than a builder boot the half chicken was fatty had many little flacks of bone. The steak was discounted from the bill but a trully let doen of a meal when it had the potential to add to a lovely spa weekend stay.
3 /5 Martijn Oosterveen: Outdated hotel. Glory is gone. Gym is okay
S. Ros The £5.95 kids’ mini Margherita is delicious — a great little “snack” if you’re craving something warm and tasty while in the area. The tomato sauce and mozzarella are both excellent quality, which makes this simple dish really stand out.
Nuchalita Awae Manager Alice was very helpful. She recommended somtum, raw papaya salad which was beautifully amazing authentic thai food ever. Totally recommended.
Ian San Miguel Beautiful breakfast rolls that I gladly go out of my way for on my weekly weekend walk. Cant wait to try the rest of the menu. A hidden gem that everyone should try.
Jay Day You will not find friendlier staff or more attentive service. The atmosphere is fantastic and the food is authentic Indian. I love the depth of flavour in the food and as someone that loves spicy curries, its nice to have proper spicy food not just a few dishes with tonnes of chilli powder mixed in. the breads are delicious and fresh but my favourite is always the mixed Biriani, the lamb bakara and the spiciest Keema they dare to make, on the last occasion they did this with fresh naga and gave me a Naga on the side! I adore the food here and its the only place Ill go to in MK for a curry. Shaz and his team are great people and Ill always sing their praises. Go and ask for your curry how you like it and theyll bend over backwards to make sure its something youll enjoy.
