5 /5 Dan Wheele: The food is always delicious and tastes authentic from Happy Valley. Weve tried several other places, and none of them come close.
My wife loves Satay chicken, and theirs is by far the closest to what we had when travelling in Asia. Weve slowly worked our way through the menu and never been disappointed.
If youre looking for delicious food, generous portions, and quick friendly service, then you have to give it a try!
1 /5 SHILLA NDYAMBA: I had a terrible experience .I ordered the mix D’oeuvres, The seaweed was dry and tasted like bubble gum. The prawn on toast was greasy and tasted reheated. The whole meal was poorly prepared.
The house special rice was also terrible. The vegetables were dry and tasted like sewing gum. I can’t recommend this place. It was a waste of my 20 pounds. I’ll call for a refund and take pictures of the food.
5 /5 Sarah McNie: Um - not sure how Ive not reviewed these guys before because I recommend them to everyone I know as the best Chinese in Worthing, bar none. Weve been using Happy Valley for a few years now. We live in Lancing, but travel for Happy Valley or pay slight additional fee for delivery to us! They are that good!!! The owners/staff are so lovely and friendly.
The food is exceptional. NEVER greasy, crispy dishes are just that! Crispy! Large chunks of high quality meat in all dishes with minimal fat - even in special rice and/noodles that with previous take aways Ive used have come to expect small fatty grey bits of meat. Not here! High quality all the way. The portion sizes are excellent and the prices reasonable. I repeat, beat Chinese take away in Worthing!!! Highly recommend.
1 /5 Michele Bardey: I am sorry as I hate to post bad reviews, but this takeaway was awful. The ribs were tender but sat in a salty ‘gravy’ that had no Chinese taste to it at all. The prawn balls were mainly uncooked batter! The duck in plum sauce was a weird deep fried battered duck breast with a separate thin and vaguely tasting plum sauce. The rice was bland. The noodles greasy… although the beef within it was surprisingly tender ?!? The roast chicken Chinese style was a chicken breast with a tiny amount of bean sprouts in another bland gravy/sauce. I am afraid that I would not order from there again
1 /5 David Williamson: I have ordered from The Happy Valley before, and the food was fine. However, l ordered a meal as a birthday treat last week and it was absolutely appalling!
I ordered to come at 6.30 pm...it arrived at 5.05. Always a really bad sign as you can guarantee youll be getting leftovers!
The meal looked as though it had been prepared by somebody who had never seen chinese food before and who had no idea how to cook!
Egg fried rice with virtually NO egg. Noodles were greasy and the mushrooms within were of a slimy texture. The chicken satay was inedible. Very tough pieces of chicken in very little satay sauce. The fried vegetables werent. They were stodgy and foul. The spring roll was hideous. Ive forgotten what other muck was in the order, but nothing was edible except for the prawn crackers!
All in all, l will definitely not be ordering ever again from this restaurant. Food is expensive these days, and l cant afford to throw ot away on muck like this!
Amber Chiew I’ve order their platter and it’s really worth every penny. They had a variety of sushi and not to mention fresh tuna! Really enjoy the sushi my friends love it as well!
Fateha - FS.Interiors We had a lahori breakfast here. Absolutely loved it! The taste was so authentic and so flavourful. We loved the nihari and paye. Will come again for sure!
Michael Anthony Wow! This is my favourite kebab shop in the area!
I love the fact their portion size is generous, the chicken is tender & nicely seasoned, the salad is always fresh & the chilli sauce is hot vs others in the area being just mild. Also they’ll happily serve crispy chips.
Very impressed & this will continue to be my 1st choice. Thanks team.
Jessica MacLain We went to Alba Trattoria for a lovely birthday dinner and couldn’t recommend the restaurant more. Ambience, service, food, and drinks were all impeccable and the servers were more than happy to share recommendations with us. Really looking forward to our next visit here.
Sophia R Really lovely place to eat and have a drink. Been here a few times since we found out the bar area is dog friendly. Food has always been really tasty and hot, with a reasonable waiting time.
Friendly and welcoming staff, who fell in love with our puppy and made her feel at ease.
Nice old fashioned atmosphere, which we love even though were still young.
Seems to attract a lot of mature people but sometimes a mix of ages.
Will definitely be returning
