Cory Sakai From a foreign tourist perspective this was a fantastic experience and we were so happy to be able to get our wish of trying a Sunday Roast even though it was a Saturday. The location is cozy and comfortable, with a fitting rustic feel, especially in the bar area. The service was great being friendly, helpful, and prompt. Everybody from the hostess to the manager was welcoming. The food was delicious and we enjoyed our small plates which were plenty for us. It was nice that you could choose which meats you wanted and they carved the portions proportionally for whether you chose one to five meats. The carver was patient and explained the meats to us as well. There were lots of vegetables available for self serve along with the gravy and sauces. All of this for a good value price. Remember to make a reservation because it can get busy, especially on the weekends. Not far from Hilsea train station and about a 10 min walk. Also sign up ahead of time to find out about special discounts. We would go back here for sure!

Alex A Lovely service and amazing food. Steak is always brilliant but the sides are wonderful too especially the spinach! The sundae dessert also blew me away, I thought it would be way too sweet but it was lovely (shared between two otherwise might’ve been too much)

Shubham Sharma Amazing food and outstanding service from Kudrat. Each and every item we ordered was delicious. I would highly recommend their Butter Chicken ! Only thing that can be bit changed is the Music, which should be Punjabi !

Christina John Stopped for a drink one day, then came back for dinner the next day. Absolutely fantastic food, and piping hot too. Really tasty & fairly reasonable prices. If were ever in this area again, we will definitely be back!

Gisèle JayCee Had a great experience at Hive. We opted for French toast & Egg Royale on the brunch menu but also added a burrata heritage tomato. Portions were great so we were able to share each dish. Food was delicious and service was also amazing. Special mention to Redha who took the time to accommodate our needs. Would definitely return again.

Rowlands Andy (Andy) An authentic Sri Lanka evening with authentic Sri Lanka music and reasonable prices and all healthy! I had complimentary chick peas and the elephant salad for starters which was delicious! The lion lager was a tasty brew only 4 percent alcohol
