This is our go-to place as the food is always incredible and is something we look forward to every weekend (and the inbetween!) ◡̈ we’ve also bought some really awesome books from here which is a bonus!

5 /5 Mark Watkin-Beamond: Its certainly not for me to comment on some of the negative reviews that I have read here, I can only review based on my own personal experience and always try to be as honest as possible, as this is the only way a review can be of any use to anyone. I visited this takeaway for the first time recently, I arrived shortly after they had opened, so just after 5 PM. There were a few people already waiting for their orders. My order was taken promptly and correctly, the young man serving me also answered my question and offered a little advice, he was polite when explaining the minimum spend required to use my debit card, fortunately I had enough cash to cover the order. My food was prepared in a good timeframe after ordering and was nice and hot. Everything was fresh, very tasty and the portions were great. If I have any criticism to add here, I would have to mention that I was not too impressed by some of the language that could be heard very clearly out in the reception area! Not acceptable and especially not so should anyone with children have been in waiting! I was quite shocked to have been hearing what I did, I can only assume that the young lads behind the scenes were completely oblivious to the fact of everyone being able to hear the swear words! This is the only reason I have marked this venue down a little in this review, which is unfortunate. Would it stop me from using this takeaway again, no, because the food was fantastic and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Just please try to be a little more considerate of your customers in the reception area, regarding any swearing behind the scenes.

1 /5 Shannon S: Recently moved here and thought we’d try this place! Oh my god it was dark and miserable in the shop The two guys serving wasn’t that clued up on things on the menu when asked! The food came out after 25-30 mins I got home and opened it and the containers was half full!! The chips was burnt and the prices was high! How can someone charge so much for half filled containers! And not to mention 7 prawn crackers in a bag!

2 /5 Louis Francis: The food tasted good. However massive disappointment with the service. Ordered over the phone at 7.25 and was told it would be 45 minutes. Turned up at 8.14 and was told it would be another 10 minutes. At 8.35 we asked them how long it would be. When the staff went into the chicken to ask, we heard the kitchen staff say that they’d only just started making it. To make matters worse, I’d spoken to other people waiting to collect who had ordered after us but were leaving before us with bags full to the top with food - we’d only ordered 2 things off the menu. What should have been 45 minutes turned into an hour and a half and we didn’t walk out until 8.45 with our food. The cherry on the cake was that we’d spent £19.70 and they hadn’t put prawn crackers in our bag because “you need to spend at least £20 for prawn crackers.” Even though the food was good the poor service really put a dampener on the whole thing.
