2 /5 Brian Curtin: My high hopes for this restaurant next to the Premier inn were dashed very quickly. We had booked a table for 2 for 1830 & the restaurant was fairly empty. Why the waiter sat us on a table for 4 next to a birthday party group of 12 was beyond me!!!! There were tables available by the window. Waiter was flustered & made us feel uncomfortable as we asked what was available from the meal deal. He reeled off a list & went to get our drinks. We chose our food & listened to the lively conversations from the 12 next to us. After 25 minutes or so our food arrived. My wife had the Cottage pie & I was presented with a burger I didnt order. I had in fact ordered the spicy Korean chicken pizza. This took another 25 minutes to arrive. Server was very apologetic. No tip on this occasion!!!! The following morning we had the buffet breakfast that was incredibly popular with families. There was a permanent queue at the tea station so we gave it a miss & had orange juice instead. Food was ok. Buffet area was a free for all & was very loud. I felt a bit overdressed as I dont own an Adidas tracksuit, hoody or a pair of crocs. Each to their own but not for me.

5 /5 Natasha Sadler: Just had Sunday carvery at the Honourable Pilot and it was amazing! The Yorkshire puddings were the best I’ve ever had from a carvery. There was so much choice of potatoes and vegetables. Kim our server was fabulous. Very friendly. It was our first trip to the Pilot and we will be back again. Thanks for a great lunch

5 /5 carol diver: Went Sunday 7th December and had their Christmas meal. Unlike other Christmas meals I have had, it was piping hot and delicious, the best I have ever had at a restaurant before. The starters was fresh and plentiful and the desserts were good too. My husband had the crumble with custard and said it was hot. I had a mince pie sundae and I was surprised by how nice it was. Kim was our server and she was cheerful and quick, we didnt have a long wait for anything.

5 /5 Georgina STEDMAN: My son, his daughter and myself (nanna) had lunch here today. Its an amazing carvery plus hotel and pub. Its large so lots of seating. You can eat in restaurant or pub. Its bit oldy worldly but has a lovely friendly ambience. Staff could not do enough for you even though busy. Our waitress kym was so lovely. Food from carvery amazing. Huge menu of other food and lovely deserts. We loved our afternoon here. Well done Kym and thankyou!! Highly recommended for Sunday lunch.

Dean Kelly Working locally I asked for recommendations for a decent pub to get dinner. It was suggested I come in the Queens Head. I’m so pleased I did. I had a mixed grill and not a single item was less than perfectly cooked. The atmosphere was good, quite busy. I believe it’s steak night. Seems a really popular place with locals. Only downside is the car park is a bit tight. But with a number plate registration system at the bar you can’t really knock a star off just for that.

Tina Clifford We have stayed there for a few occasions and it never lets us down. Louise welcomed us like friends. She was polite, friendly and polite with good customer service. Yes, there are parts that need a touch up with paint but the rooms are always clean and tidy. Having the pub next doors is good as you can have something to eat and drink then back for a good nights sleep. Will we be going there again....... definitely.

Emma H Great cafe. Friendly staff and quick service. The place is always spotless and their condiment bottles are cleaned at the end of every day. I love that it’s so clean and tidy. Portions huge. Last time we went I had an omelette that took up the whole huge plate size. I took 2/3 of it home and my husband had it for his lunch. The food, the staff the cleanliness. Will be meeting my friends there again soon. Highly recommended.
