5 /5 Restuadi Restuadi: Jasmine is a hidden gem of a Thai restaurant, family-owned, and you can really feel the heart and tradition in every dish. Coming from Southeast Asia myself, the flavours here are deeply nostalgic and genuinely authentic.
I almost always go for their Pad Thai and the Tamarind Duck, and they never disappoint. The Pad Thai has a generous portion and hits that perfect balance of sweet, tangy, and savoury. The Tamarind Duck is the real standout, rich, tender, with that unique tamarind glaze that I’ve only ever found here. It’s clearly a house speciality, and it’s worth coming just for that. The portion is on the smaller side, but still satisfying given its bold flavour.
The restaurant is surprisingly quiet considering the quality of the food. It seems to be run entirely by family members, so while the service can be a little slow at times, it’s warm and genuine, you can see they’re doing their very best.
If you’re after comforting, home-style Thai cooking that stays true to its roots, Jasmine is a lovely choice.
