We were first served complimentary nibbles: small bowls of houmous, tomato salsa, and garlic dip with Turkish bread flavoured on the barbecue by the chef. While waiting for our mixed grill for two, we enjoyed the atmosphere and the smell of the charcoal cooking.
The mixed grill came on a bed of Turkish rice and included lamb shish, chicken shish, chicken wings, lamb Adana, and chicken Adana made from minced lamb and chicken. The meats were beautifully grilled, juicy, and full of flavour. On the side was a fresh salad with pomegranate seeds that added a nice sweet and tangy touch.
Everything was cooked in proper Ocakbaşı style over barbecue pits, which really made the flavours stand out. Overall, an excellent experience and very good value for money. We will definitely return.
