1 /5 Linda Ayanwale: Theres nothing Lit about this tiny lounge.
I would not recommend Lit Lounge based on my experience.
We arrived on a Friday night just after 10pm. The venue was almost empty. There were only two of us initially, waiting for two more guests to arrive. We were seated in the shisha lounge, where several other tables also did not have shisha.
Service was slow from the start. Menus took a long time to arrive, and ordering took even longer. We ordered asun with fries and drinks while waiting for the rest of our group.
The first issue arose when staff told us we had to move to a table for two, despite the fact that our group was clearly four and the venue was largely empty. The staff were rude and argumentative. I explained multiple times that we were waiting for two more guests. It eventually took another customer intervening before the staff stopped insisting.
Shortly after that, a different man, who appeared to be the chef, told us we had to leave the shisha lounge because we had not ordered shisha. I asked if they could wait, again explaining that we were waiting for the rest of our group. He said he “didn’t have to wait,” even though the venue was empty and people were actively leaving. This made no sense, especially as there were plenty of other tables available.
Meanwhile, no food or drinks had arrived. We were then told there was no asun available. I asked what was available and agreed to beef suya instead. Still, nothing arrived.
The same man then became rude and aggressive. I calmly said that if they wanted us to leave, they should just say so. He responded that we could go, so we did.
As we were leaving, he continued being rude and even followed us outside, which was completely unacceptable.
This was my first night out in over a year after having a baby. Leaving my crying baby was already stressful, and being harassed in an empty venue made the experience unnecessarily upsetting.
No vibe, no service, and no professionalism, just rude (i see other reviews saying this), aggressive staff in an empty restaurant. The website clearly states that reservations are not required, yet we were treated like an inconvenience.
I would not return.
