2 /5 Rina: This was the worse Soho house restaurant i have ever visited.
Food:
- very expensive for what it is, they will put your £39 lamp next to chicken and something else. They put 3 people’s mains all on one plate and it looked like a mixed grill from a normal Lebanese restaurant.
- my friend had the most expensive dish prawns, not only it was small (only 4 prawns) but it was very hard and not seasoned - they clearly overcooked it.
- prices are unjustifiable when you have you cutlery in the pot, your mains are getting all on one plate with other people and you are pretty much seating in your garden shed.
Service:
- very cold and not welcoming
-could not give any recommendations when I was asking for them
-did not come and checked once how our starters/ main were
-did not care or wanted to help when my friend asked to change her food as her prawns were terrible, she just said “okay”
- I had to ask to change our plates (I had to pick some from the other table as she was very slow), my husband had to ask for cutlery, they would not change it for your mains otherwise.
- they always just add service charge as if people just owe it to them, no you have to give a good service for it.
-would not offer tap water, like some restaurants “still or sparkling” but would not offer tap
Atmosphere:
- there is no atmosphere- it’s a shed in the middle of Soho house square with all the usual stuff.
- they have tomato and other pickles jars with brands on the display? At least make them vintage retro, this is not cool to buy some pickles and display a basic brand like this, does not look authentic nor expensive for the prices your are changing that a massive mismatch
Just utter embarrassment for me and for bringing my friends to this restaurant
