1 /5 Dilek Polat: Disappointing visit!
I visited Little Hudson for breakfast for the first time yesterday during a very short work break. The café was quiet, with only a few tables occupied. I politely asked to sit at one of the sofa tables (which can easily accommodate two people), but the waiter seemed unhappy and insisted I sit at a small table in the corner instead.
After ordering, another waiter approached me and repeatedly pressured me to change tables, mentioning potential afternoon bookings, despite the café not being busy at all. I made it clear I just wanted to sit and enjoy my breakfast.
Unfortunately, the service felt uncomfortable and unwelcoming. Plates were placed on the table without a word, in a manner I found rude. Having worked in hospitality management myself, I found this particularly disappointing.
I truly want to support local, independent cafés, but the experience lacked warmth, respect, and authenticity. Sadly,
I wouldn’t recommend it!
