4 /5 Alfie Jackson: Where do I start with Mandys Munchies. Although not in the heart of the town, this little van is working miracles and has worked its way into my heart. I cannot say for certain if Mandy was working on my visit however I enjoy that sensation of her identity being kept under lock and key. Now lets get rolling, pardon the pun. The BIG BUSTER is one hell of a ride so strap in. Starting with a burger patty with bacon ever so carefully tucked in on top, being read a bedtime story and it feels at home. Bacon isnt the only heavenly thing on this behemoth of a creation. We have sausages next, cut open and delicately lathered, with an egg crowning this masterpiece. Cheese envelopes this concoction and I am visited by the golden mistress of cheddar upon each bite. All of this is wrapped up in not 2 but 3 pieces of crusty white bread.
Now lets move to Monty in particular THE BIG MONTY. Ill keep this simple, French stick, butter and a sauce of your choosing. Bacon, sausage, egg and mushroom make this log a creation that Picasso himself would be proud of. No mess is made here as the bread stands up to the challenge of the fillings and hold firm in the face of what many would assume is defeat.
A drink included in every meal, price points to suit all classes. This van is a work of art and an institution of what all burger vans should strive to be.
Until our next meeting this is 3ManNVan signing off with an 8.1 rating.
