5 /5 Cassie Smith: Absolutely incredible!! We looked the the reviews at first and was so worried! But we went for it anyway, no regrets! One of the best steaks we have ever had by a mile away… absolutely delicious, so soft, melted like butter! Would travel again just for the food alone. We had a waiter called harmony, she was kind, helpful, very knowledgeable about the food and polite also.

5 /5 Sue Aston: First time staying at the Leonardo Royal Hotel. The restaurant is part of the hotel. We ate a sandwich in the bar at lunchtime , excellent value and food. The service was excellent in the bar and later in the restaurant. The food in the restaurant was perfectly prepared and cooked. It was full of flavour , absolutely delicious. The wine choice was also excellent. We chose the Waipara Hills , NZ wine, one of the nicest i have tasted. Highly recommend all round, will definitely return top notch.

1 /5 Gareth Brown: Really disappointing. The Marco Pierre name is definitely branding only - if he ever visited here hed be ashamed. Food is basic at best. Steak was unseasoned and bland. The mac & cheese felt like it had come straight out an American diner. Waiter was clueless, unprofessional and unknowledgeable. The restaurant itself is also a very odd feel. Glass and white painted steel makes it feel like a local swimming pool, and the endless plastic plants scattered around makes it even weirder. Temperature is set to baltic, and the total lack of any music or noise makes the ambience non existent. £110 for 2 starters, 2 mains and a bottle of house red. Crazy

I am sure that whoever butchered this meat must’ve known that it was tough. It just did not cut. We revised By the head waiterthat it was a “bad batch” That is just not good enough and shows the lack of quality control and care – advice avoid at all costs
