3 /5 Joshua Belcher: Went there as a large group for a mates birthday. The food was amazing but the service was slow and some of the dishes took ages to come out. Maybe it was just a busy night! Would go there again one day. Cheers
4 /5 Brendan Rousseau: This is your spot for great authentic Vietnamese food. The food is really amazing and most of the visitors are asian what for me is a great sign. The place isnt the most romantic but if you want to impress with food give this a go.
4 /5 Elisabeth: i sat down at mien tay expecting great food and those expectations were still surpassed. me and my dad came in here starving and i havent needed to eat for two days - it is very filling, the portion sizes are of incredible value.. you have been warned! the service was..how to say.. Minimal.... by which i mean very straight to the point, youre here for a delicious meal not for small talk with your waiter. had to call staff over rather than them coming to us but we didnt mind. starters were as good as we had heard, my dish (ginger duck + rice) was wonderful, flavourful, and hearty. it seems there is a lot of love going into this cooking.
Emily Preston-baker The pizza is absolutely delicious- even the marguerita had so much flavour. Service was great too (Monica was lovely!). Would definitely recommend
James I first went here as a young boy. Many years later, I still love this place. The food (breakfast specifically) is very tasty, and the drinks are somehow just as good. The waiters are lovely people. The atmosphere has got to be the best part. It has a mid 20th century atmosphere, and its very cozy. If I had to give a critique, though, the burgers on occasion are quite dry. Other than that, this restaurant is wonderful!
Ella Booked here for my birthday for 20 people and the service was great, fast and attentive, and the food was yummy, and love that’s there’s loads of veggie/vegan options!! Great drinks too!
Lauren Williams A lovely, inviting and unpretentious cafe and deli with an outdoor space. It is very well organised inside so it has quite a tranquil feel to it despite selling many products. Its really easy to browse for what you need.
Each time I have been staff have been really tranquil and friendly. Its almost like visiting a little bit of Italy and inside feels very far away from Herne Hill.
I wouldnt imagine it would be easy to get a buggy in here but I would say that the cafe would be enjoyed by children and adults. A buggy could be folded ig needed.
There is a large selection of milkshakes and pastries. There is authentic foccacia which is a real treat. The hot chocolate I had here was absolutely delicious. The whole shop smells delicious really!
Ill definitely be back just before a school pick up and judging by the amount of customers visiting both times I went so will others.
Sara C Always fantastic! This fish is so fresh and the chips are great. So are the sausages and the mushy peas! Everything is so good. Best chippy I’ve been to in London. Reasonably priced.
jojaomro Been using since day one. Sadly not anymore. Delivery is now so slow, over an hour now and we are five minutes away. Food mediocre and arrived stone cold. Our longest wait was just shy of three hours. Chinese should be eaten hot freshly cook. Stuck it out before but enough is enough. Shame. Won’t be going back.
