4 /5 Jess Horton: Great dinner! Staff was efficient all night on a Saturday. Food was a little slow but worth the wait! Came during sunset - great choice!

4 /5 Dr. Inga Köhler: Nice local Restaurant close to the beach. We liked the fact that one could easily book a table online. The service was nice and friendly and the ladies were really helpful and courteous. The Food had a reasonable price and the fish and chips was really big and tasted excellent. The chips were not so chunky which I personally enjoyed. The peas were not my taste, I assume they had mint in them and I am not a fan of that. Two things I did not like about the restaurant itself: 1) The table was sticky. I guess because they used some soap or disinfectant and did not clean that off properly. 2) There was chewing gum under the table which I find absolutely disgusting and I would really suggest that the owner check things like that on a regular basis. Otherwise the experience was nice.

2 /5 Francesca Doe: Fine for drinks but nothing more…. I wanted to love this place, convenient location and the terrace overlooking the bay is lovely, especially before sunset. For drinks after a walk along the bay I’d recommend, for food I’d avoid. Service lacks - slow and not friendly, toilets also in poor shape. Food was disappointing - bland or covered in sauce, some dishes badly cooked (with some prawns in the linguine actually coming out raw which ruined my partners meal, though I had a nice bit of fish), a lot of the menu out of stock, and on top of that the kitchen taking a ridiculously long time despite little covers. Note we ate dinner inside and had drinks on the terrace, you can also order food (no table service) outside.

4 /5 Glenn A.: Lovely view and great place to meet some dogs! We ordered some traditional fish & chips and a sea bass fillet. The fish was fresh, full of flavour, and nicely cooked. The cod didnt have too much batter and the sea bass was juicy and not overcooked. We had to wait ages to get our order however and I think in total it took about 75 minutes from sitting down to eating, despite us being ready to order straight away. The view is pretty lovely facing the seaside.

5 /5 Ambre Finley-Day: We had our wedding reception at The Minnis on Nov 1st. From the very start when we began to plan, to the actual day, everything was just amazing. When we first went to view the function room (stunning views!!!) we met with Jess. Let me start by saying - she is incredible. She showed us around, explained how the day would run, how the tables would be laid out, when the food would come out etc. This was only a couple months before the actual day (we didn’t leave ourselves a lot of time, so the fact Jess made all of this possible in such a short space of time is even more impressive!). On the run up to the day I was in touch with Jess quite a lot (perhaps too much) to ask questions, send info, decide on food, etc and no task was too big for her. I could tell that Jess was looking forward to the day as much as we were and as a result of her care and excitement, it was just perfect. We dont live locally, about 2/3 hours drive away, so to have somebody so in control and knowledgeable was such a huge comfort. She made absolutely everything we requested possible. She is seriously a pro events manager and she is an absolute asset to the team here. We are so grateful to her!!! The food was delicious- we still get compliments and all the guests were so impressed! I met with the chef Charlotte a couple days before the wedding to go through timings, tables, who’s having what and again, it was all smooth sailing on the day. We are going to keep coming back whenever we come down to the coast because it really was amazing food. On the actual day, we had Alec and Alana on the bar, as well as Jess to ensure everything was going to plan, and, surprise surprise, it went perfectly. Alec and Alana were so friendly, personable, and helpful. After the meal, we had to fold down some tables to make space for the dance floor and this was so smoothly and seamlessly done people didn’t even realise it was going on. A task I thought would be a bit of a pain, no issues at all. Most importantly every member of staff involved was so much fun!!!! It felt like they were extra guests. They both helped with tasks like cutting my cake up and boxing it up, tidying, everything. Value for money was incredible too. A direct sea view venue is something I never thought we could make happen but we were so happy to find The Minnis. I could continue to find compliments but I realise this review is already very long. Overall, best day ever made possible by Jess and the team. Without Jess none of this would’ve been possible, thank you so much Jess and the team!!!
