1 /5 vikas tihal: We mostly used to visit Mumbai Local, Queensbury, as it’s just a 10-minute walk from my house. Unfortunately, this was my last visit, and I will never go back.
Today, I visited with friends who had come from Bristol. We were seated at the back where it was quiet and peaceful, but it felt like the staff completely forgot they even had customers sitting there.
After sitting at the table, no water was served for 20–25 minutes. Even after placing our order, still no water. We had to repeatedly ask staff just to get drinking water. We had kids with us, and the child kept asking her mum for water, which was very uncomfortable and embarrassing.
When the food arrived, several items were missing from the main order, even though everything was ordered at the start. The remaining food was brought only after we had already finished half of our meal. What is the point of bringing food so late?
Throughout the visit, no staff came to check on us. Every time we needed something, we had to call someone ourselves. Staff were walking past without even asking if we needed help.
We ordered chapatis again and were told it would take 5–7 minutes. Instead, it took 15 minutes, and then we were told it would take another 15 minutes. Waiting 30 minutes just for chapatis is unacceptable.
We also placed a takeaway order halfway through our dinner, expecting it to be ready by the time we finished. Even after finishing our meal, it still took another 20 minutes. In total, it took 50 minutes to get the takeaway.
When we checked the bill, extra dishes were added that we never ordered and never received. When we pointed this out, they simply said sorry and removed them.
On top of all this, the taste of the food is no longer the same as before.
When I asked a staff member why no one was coming to the back area, I was told they were short-staffed. On a Saturday, that is not an excuse — it is poor management.
