Sarah Frost We stopped into our local Irish pub with only one thing in mind - a good Guinness. We left with our hearts full of delicious cheesy chips (ask for Bulgarian spice?! It was delicious) and kind hospitality thanks to The Bonchef. Thanks for feeding us and making us laugh. See you next time!

rebecca gutteridge Wow I was not expecting this pub food to be this level. The smoker produced exquisite meat and the smoked tomato salad was incredibly tasty. The level of food I would expect at a high quality restaurant. Really lovely staff.

Georgia Hetherington I first came in here in 2018 when it was Viet 2 Go. In 2023 it was renamed Banh Mi Vietnam, but owned and run by different members of the same family who have done the place proud, I loved it today as much as I always did before ☺️ there is a relaxed welcoming atmosphere, the restaurant is clean and tidy, the food is fresh, hot, delicious and served up quickly. We had tofu pho in veggie broth, and vegetarian spring roll noodle salad with a pot of green tea. Plenty of flavour and fresh ingredients at very good prices. I dont come to Croydon often but will definitely return next time Im town.

Relyz 89 We had dinner on a quiet Sunday evening. Firstly, its important to stress the food here is not 100% authentic Thai in terms of preparation or flavours. However it is regardless really tasty and hits the spot! We were really impressed with the size of the sharing starter. The mains were delicious and our standout dish was actually the pork belly starter, very succulent! The Thai sabai cocktail with Thai rum was strong and well made. Venue is nicely decorated and airy, if you can try to get a booth! Wed go back again.

E S Really enjoyed a Friday evening meal here. The food was excellent, the service couldn’t be better, courteous and friendly. Portions were incredibly generous, everything was tasty, and I appreciated the free salad, bread, yoghurt dish and Turkish tea. The Turkish restaurants on Upper St, Islington have stopped giving salad etc at the start of the meal — which I associate with a good Turkish meal — so I’d rather come here. I was made to feel welcome as a single customer and given a nice table in the early evening. The dinner was reasonably priced given the generosity of the servings. Only shame was that I couldn’t get a small portion of the fresh chili sauce that often comes with the chicken/meat dishes, they only serve it as a large (paid) portion. One of the waiters kindly gave me some anyway, but I would suggest this is also made available for tables of 1 or 2, as it really complements the meats so nicely. Highly recommend this place, also there is a nice buzzy atmosphere and no loud music on the night that I visited, so a more relaxed atmosphere despite the buzz, customers didn’t need to shout to be heard.

Dawood Very clean and nice place. The coffee was really good and well made. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Had a great experience, definitely recommend.
