5 /5 Rashmi: All locals were waiting for Arya Bhavan to open, well it opened for soft launch on 3rd May, and as soon as I know, I was there.
Place is inviting as its new and well lit interiors, staff were enthusiastic, courteous & polite. Service too was prompt with no rush & hush etc.
Their menu too is quite elaborate, with millet dosa, paneer parotta on menu, we definitely have more options to try out.
Coming to food, I found food bland, it was lacking in flavours but good part was it was not spicy, as flavours don’t come by making food spicy & hot (lately I don’t go to Sarvana as it has become super spicy for me including chutney, and I just can’t handle it) Here on the other hand, I felt simple spices like ginger, chola masala etc were not enough to bring out flavour in chutney, chola etc.
Secondly, it was a little put off that restaurant was not at all busy, its soft launch & on ordering chola bhatura, first bhatura that came was flat. Common its first impression, building & creating that space when one giant is there locally already.
To sum up this place is local, so I will give it a second try, already planned second visit with friends but standing as of now they need to work little bit on flavours without making it spicy so that food becomes more flavourful & palatable.
Update: Well I had gone on 27th June for second visit, and this place is complete turnaround when it comes to flavours, sambhar was so very tasty & chutney just perfect.
I ordered Jain Vegetable Dosa & it was amazing. I tried paper roast ordered by my friend & that too was fab.
I am changing stars given, Misbah took care of us very well, serving chutneys & sambhar, she was quite a gem.
I am visiting this place now often as being Vegetarian, and just walking & now with amazing flavours & not outrageously spicy like sarvana, this place is just perfect.
