4 /5 Keeton Nance: A lovely little spot to drop into for authentic Shanghainese and Chinese food! Wonderful and welcoming service from the moment we walked in, even without a reservation. Highly recommend the pork belly! Good portion sizes and overall pretty good value. I would definitely come back. A real standout in the area.

5 /5 Lingling Din: As someone from Shanghai, I was pleasantly surprised to find a restaurant in the UK that serves dishes close to the flavours I grew up with. Shanghai cuisine is usually more sweet and savoury rather than very spicy, and the food here reflects that style quite well. We ordered a few dishes to share and they reminded me of the kind of home-style cooking you would find in many restaurants back in Shanghai. The flavours were balanced and comforting rather than overly heavy. The staff were friendly which I appreciated. It’s always nice when a restaurant is willing to help customers understand the regional style of the dishes. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience. If you are from Shanghai or familiar with Jiangnan-style cuisine, you may appreciate the flavours here. It’s also a good place for people who want to try a different side of Chinese cuisine beyond the usual takeaway dishes.

3 /5 G Cinna: Chinese restaurant attracting many tourists from nearby hotels. Food was good except the duck that was very dry and the pancakes were poor quality frozen ones that stuck to the bottom of the steamer. When it was reported to the waiter, he couldn’t care less and didn’t offer any replacement. Service overall was mediocre for the price. Poor atmosphere with bright lighting and terrible acoustics.

4 /5 Ishan Issadeen: We visited for dinner on a Saturday. The ground floor was really busy but we were seated upstairs which was a bit quieter. It’s a fairly basic neighbourhood Chinese restaurant in terms of decor and vibe, but we did get a table with a lot of space which is always appreciated. We were 2 adults and 2 kids who between us ordered the chicken spring rolls, salt & pepper squid, half roast duck, sweet & sour chicken, morning glory, egg fried rice, and Shanghai scallion noodles. It was a lot of food and we packed some to take home. Most items were quite enjoyable. The roast duck was a highlight. The sweet & sour is always a family favourite albeit this version was borderline too sweet. I really enjoyed the slurpy scallion noodles but my wife was not a fan of the texture. Service was friendlier than expected and the food came out at a decent pace. The bill for our meal came to £149 of which £27 was spent on drinks, which felt quite reasonable. Overall a solid Chinese restaurant, not worth going out of your way for but a decent option for those who live locally. They do delivery as well.

5 /5 Renee Neo: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely wonderful experience! The boss and lady boss were incredibly friendly and welcoming, such kind people who made us feel at home right away. The food was absolutely amazing, every dish was full of flavour and prepared with great care. You can really taste the passion in their cooking. A very special and memorable meal — highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely come back again. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!
