I booked a table at Nona Rosa last night and it was genuinely one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time.
Straight away, we asked a member of staff (girl in a black tracksuit with blonde hair and a silver clip) if the chicken was halal. She bluntly said “no” and walked off mid-conversation. No politeness, no offer of alternatives, no basic customer service. Just rude and dismissive.
The starters were decent — which is the only reason this review isn’t one star purely for the food.
The pizzas, however, were absolutely awful. All three of us couldn’t eat them. They tasted like the cheapest frozen pizzas you’d throw in the oven at home — except somehow worse. There was barely any sauce, hardly any cheese, and zero seasoning. Dry, bland and completely flavourless. It honestly felt like eating cardboard with toppings scattered on top.
We sat there with nearly untouched pizzas for ages and not a single staff member came over to ask if everything was okay. No check-in, no care, nothing.
At the end, the head boss came over and said he’d take the pizzas to show the pizza chef. Fine. But when the bill arrived? Not a penny taken off. We were charged in full and still had service charge added — for what service exactly?
Paying full price (plus service charge) for inedible pizza and rude customer service is wild.
Genuinely shocked at how poor the quality and service were. I would not recommend and definitely won’t be returning after last night.
