5 /5 Gary Finnerty: I cannot recommend "Number One Kitchen" highly enough. From the moment we arrived to the point we left, we received attentive service; we felt appreciated as customers. The food was excellent, both in terms of quality and portion size. To make the afternoon extra special, our host AJ, without a being asked, provided birthday cake and candles for my two children who were celebrating special birthdays. We will definitely be returning. THANK YOU

1 /5 Mark Oliver: A group of about 10 of us had booked a table and were served drinks. Most of us had a single beer but two of us had a coke. We ordered our food that were chicken shish and lamb shish plus one person had tiger prawn dish. We finished our meal but our bill came to £28 each with obviously a hefty service charge or very expensive beers and cokes. Anyway we paid using credit cards except three of us paid in cash tendering £90 that we all witnessed. However we received just £1.50 change instead of £6.00. On questioning it the waiter argued saying we had only paid £60 in cash whch we all knew was untrue but the difference is small and although no one likes to be taken for a ride we just left peacefully. However there seems an ongoing theme from several of the reviews of being overcharged and short changed. Needless to say I wont be returning like many of our group as its no way to run a business in hospitality to alienate your customers. Also word gets around and all for a gain of few shekels. Shame as I for one enjoyed the food.

4 /5 Dave Drinks: Nice welcome to a nice, clean restaurant on Leighton Buzzard High Street, good service getting drinks and taking orders, the adults had starters and they brought the kids meals with those so they didnt have to sit and watch us eat which I always appreciate! Very nice food, Lamb Shank the meat just slid off the bone, but with the edible basket thing it was served in was a little tricky to eat apparently. Asked for no salad with my main but it was put on the plate anyway, so bit of food waste there that wasnt needed. Despite a small choice of Desserts they only had 2 available which wasnt great! Overall would definitely return again.

4 /5 Gary Clark: Popped in for lunch today, and went for the two-course lunch deal. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and quantity. The service was good considering there was only one waiter, and there were at least 12-16 people in the restaurant. Seating was a bit tight where we were placed, but not crowded because tables around us were empty. Would highly recommend this restaurant for lunchtime. It might be a squeeze for an evening meal if it’s fuller.

5 /5 Christian Robinson: We have been here a few times now. Last night (Valentines Day) was extra special. We were treated like Royalty. They went above and beyond. The restaurant was decorated really nicely with balloons and candles. Luckily we had pre booked so got sat down straight away. We had an amazing meal, the food is really good. The Mrs got a rose which was an awesome touch and we had complimentary cake. The service was extremely good. It was fast and efficient and everyone was extremely friendly and thoughtful. The food is always amazing but last night was extra special. I will continue to be a costumer here they are amazing.
