2 /5 Jantana Jantakit: I visited Old Weaver House on 14 February with my niece. When we arrived, we were told that we had limited time at the table, which was acceptable.
During the meal, a staff member came to our table holding a rose and asked, “Do you want a flower?” This was unclear and awkward. He did not explain that it was a Valentine’s gesture from the restaurant, which made the situation uncomfortable.
When we went to pay, the same man, who appeared to be the manager, made an inappropriate and unprofessional comment, saying, “I’m not interested in you. I’m a married man.” This was shocking and completely unnecessary. I had no personal interaction with him and did nothing to justify such a comment.
To make matters worse, when we returned less than five minutes later to collect souvenir postcards left on the table, the waitress had already thrown them in the bin. Although she retrieved them for us, it was disappointing that they were discarded so quickly. Forgotten items should be kept safely in case customers return.
Although the food and atmosphere were good, the service was disappointing and unprofessional. This experience left a negative impression, and I hope management improves staff professionalism and customer care.
