5 /5 Candida Crewe: I didnt go to the Paella Shack restaurant but Xavier made paella for a party I gave. He was nothing short of a miracle. He appeared when he said he would, asked where he should set up his paella pans. I offered him a cup of tea but he only had a glass of water and disappeared into the garden. Two or three hours later, the most sublime paella I have ever eaten appeared by magic, for no fewer than a hundred people. Some guests loved it so much they had three generous helpings! As a host, I could not have felt less stressed and more spoilt. Xaviers professionalism, trustworthiness, reliability, charm, and talents as a chef were faultless. My friends raved about him as if he were the best kept secret in London. One or two had lived in Spain and ranked his paella up there with the very best. Now they all want him at their parties and if ever I give a party again, only Xavier will get the call up. He and his paella are sensational!
