1 /5 Sidra Murad: I visited Paratha Junction for breakfast with my children, friends, and their kids. Unfortunately, this was not a pleasant experience, and I won’t be returning.
To start with, the restaurant is not wheelchair or buggy friendly, which made things difficult for families with young children. Parking was another issue — street parking is very limited, and unless you’re very lucky, you’ll need to spend time struggling to find a space.
We waited around 40 minutes for our food. I understand the restaurant was very busy; however, we had been seated for a long time with children who were waiting patiently. Some communication, reassurance, or even a simple apology would have gone a long way.
When I approached the lady at the till to ask about our order, instead of being polite or understanding, she became argumentative and dismissive, repeatedly stating, “You can see it’s busy.” Her voice became loud, which made the situation uncomfortable, with other customers looking on. There was no apology, no patience, and no appreciation for the long wait.
We also ordered Punjabi chai, expecting it to be served properly and hot. Unfortunately, the tea was cold and not made to the standard expected, which meant we couldn’t enjoy it at all. This was very disappointing, especially as chai was something we were really looking forward to with our breakfast.
However, good food alone does not make up for poor customer service, lack of professionalism, and basic courtesy.
This was our first visit, and due to the poor service, accessibility issues, parking difficulties, and disappointing experience overall, it was not a good visit. Sadly, we will not be returning and would not recommend this place, especially to families.
