5 /5 Josh Porter: Pulcinella Pizzeria is a fantastic example of a classic Southern Italian restaurant done right, serving genuinely superb wood-fired pizza. My partner and I visited on a Wednesday evening at around 6pm. We were the only diners when we arrived, but by the time we left around 7pm the restaurant was steadily filling up, which was great to see and speaks volumes about its popularity.
The atmosphere is warm and rustic, with a relaxed, authentic feel. Our waiter was excellent throughout, attentive without being intrusive, and checked in on us a few times to make sure everything was just right.
I ordered the Vesuvio, a long, almost diamond-shaped pizza stuffed with ricotta, mozzarella, and salami, topped with tomatoes and fior di latte. My partner chose the Salsiccia from the separate vegan menu, which featured plant-based sausage, peppers, vegan nduja, mushrooms, tomatoes, and vegan cheese. It is genuinely impressive how well catered for vegans are here, with a fully dedicated menu and plenty of choice.
Both pizzas were excellent. The toppings were generous but well balanced, and the bases were cooked perfectly with no burnt patches at all. You can really taste the quality and care that goes into the food.
Overall, the meal was spectacular from start to finish. Pulcinella Pizzeria is somewhere we will absolutely be returning to regularly and would happily recommend to anyone looking for outstanding pizza in Ealing.
