5 /5 neonbible 13: a few years ago i worked in southall, west london, and was introduced to punjabi food for the first time, falling instantly in love with it. i couldnt seem to find any indian food in london that got close to the level of the places there, until my friend introduced me to saka maka. the food here really hits the same spot for me, and im so happy that i can have it close to where ive relocated in south east london. the combination of spices is perfect and has that unmatchable warm, aftertaste that stays with you for a while after. i especially love the pani puri (and dahi puri), the samosa chaat and the house chicken curry.
was recently here for what i think was my fourth and, like the other three times, i had a fantastic experience. the wait time was a bit longer than usual but was understandable as it was a very busy friday evening, and my friend and i were happy to see it so full.
