1 /5 Maryam Chaudhry: Genuinely one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had.
We phoned ahead to place an order for three shawarmas (chicken, lamb, and mixed) and were told it was fine. We arrived 20 minutes later, expecting at least some preparation to have been done. Nothing. Not the meat. Not even the chips.
When we asked why the order hadn’t been started, the staff member said he “didn’t know what salads or sauces we wanted” and admitted he forgot to ask on the phone. Instead of apologising or taking responsibility, he became dismissive and flippant, essentially implying that if we didn’t like it, we could leave.
That attitude says everything. Basic logic would suggest starting the meat or chips while waiting for salad choices. Instead, he waited until we arrived, opened the freezer, and only then began frying chips. Complete waste of our time.
Things got worse when we decided to leave. The staff member became rude, aggressive, and started swearing. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable behaviour, especially in a food business.
This wasn’t a small mistake. It was poor communication, zero accountability, and shocking customer service. Honesty, basic ethics, and respect for customers were all missing here.
Plenty of shawarma places around. I strongly recommend choosing literally any other one. It was also a very dirty places, no gloves were worn while touching things. Very very disgusting.
