5 /5 Julian Curtis: Had lunch with some current and past colleagues here today. It was very enjoyable event, the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food is very good and well presented. I had the beetroot salad and then the steak. Both were full of flavour and delicious.

1 /5 Ian Jennings: I visited Songbird and had a very poor experience. We had to wait to be seated due to a double booking. Drinks were delayed, and we weren’t informed promptly when one wasn’t available. One starter arrived late, meaning we waited around 15 minutes for everyone to be served. The main issue was the food: the burgers were raw inside, which is unacceptable. The staff did not seem concerned, so we complained and left. Overall, not a good experience, and I would not recommend this restaurant.

3 /5 Vanessa E: I had the beetroot salad and the roasted cauliflower. This was basically the same meal twice, just that the starter was a tiny bit of tasteless beetroot hidden under salad leaves, and the main was a giant half of cauliflower covered in a bit of harissa under salad leaves circled by a bit of hummus. Maybe the meat options are better, but as a vegetarian, my options were limited. Staff was relatively friendly and service was fast, but it was also a bit confusing because I was not going to see the show afterwards and I still had to enter through the theatre. I thought it was also expensive, but I came from Belfast where we dont usually do the service charge, and at least the still water I had from the bottle didnt appear on my bill for some reason. I had a tea as well and I paid just over £37, so it was okay.

5 /5 Rachel Bowen: The food is incredible and I couldn’t believe the prices for such generous portions, especially the pie and steak. The wait staff were welcoming, answered all my questions and made great drinks recommendations. You can tell it’s a new opening as some of the team needed to check details on the menu, but I’m sure nothing that won’t smooth out with time. One flag is your meal does have to start early to get 3 courses before the show, so be mindful of arriving on time so you can enjoy it all.

1 /5 Dee: We waited around 15 minutes before anyone even came to take our order, which set the tone for the rest of the experience. When the food finally arrived, it was freezing cold. It was very obvious that the food is pre-prepared or frozen and simply reheated, which is extremely disappointing given the price. The set menu costs £35, yet we were asked to pay an additional £10 for steak, which feels excessive and certainly not justified by the quality. When I told the waitress that my food was cold, she didn’t question it at all and immediately took the plate away, which suggests this is a common issue they are already aware of. The Cheesecake tasted bitter and was freezing cold. On top of this, the seating is uncomfortably close to other tables, leaving very little personal space. Overall, the experience was poor value for money and not one I would recommend.
