5 /5 Mark Chatfield: As a member of the RU Squash Club Vets team, I have been attending the pub pretty much ever other Monday night for the last 3 years. The food is good & the beer is better, served by friendly, inviting staff who go above & beyond to make you welcome.

5 /5 Vivek Tandon: The Reading University Vets Squash team have been using the Sportman Pub in Reading for over three years after our team games. Typically ten of us turn up at the end of a tough Squash match to be pampered and spoilt by Kieron and his merry team of servers. No matter how late we turn up (suppose to arrive by 09:45 but matches often over-run), the team always make sure the food is fresh, hot and a lot of it at a great price. No matter how busy they are , Kieron (if he is there) or his team will come out to make sure we are all happy with the food. In three years we have genuinely never had to complain. Amazing service, great value food and a cold pint of beer after a tough squash match ..... the perfect evening if you ask me.

5 /5 Wayne Allen: Visited here few times now and never had a bad meal. Bar staff are very friendly and welcoming and compliments to Kieron the chef. Will be back.

5 /5 rachel lloyd: We turned up a party of 8, as another pub couldnt fulfil our booking due to kitchen issues. The staff were helpful and polite, seated us, and food was quick when ordering. Will definitely return when visiting my son at uni.
