Mark, the member of staff who served us was very quiet and could not have made it more clear that he disliked his job and didnt want to be there. He took a very long time to make the sandwiches and put them in the oven.
My husband then asked if we could make it mega, Mark asked us what cookies we wanted, we picked our crisps and then my husband asked for 2 cups for drinks as part of the mega deal. Mark said that wed "already chosen the mega deal by selecting crisps and cookies" he explained that we couldnt have a drink. We checked the receipt and we realised that hed charged us for each item separately anyway, not an additional 40p as per the mega deal. My husband asked why we couldnt get the mega deal as advertised, Mark could not communicate this to us and became very short and rude, he said, "the mega deal is a sandwich, crisps OR cookie and a drink" so my husband asked if we could put the crisps back and have a drink instead as per the deal, Mark said asked why and said I just work here, I cant tell you what to order. So my husband picked up the mega deal sign and showed it to Mark and said the deal is very misleading if you cant have all 3, and Mark looked stared at him blankly. I asked if we could speak to a manager because Mark was clearly finding it difficult to understand and communicate, Mark said the manager left for the day already.
My husband then asked if we could leave the cookies and crisps and just have the sandwiches because he got fed up of trying to explain the mega deal to Mark. Mark looked at my husband and frowned, he asked "why do you want a refund? Youre wasting my time, next time, you make sure you order more carefully". We honestly couldnt believe the disgusting customer service wed received, then it made sense to us why this Subway has an overall rating of 2.8/5.
