3 /5 Rey: Small and quaint. It was a wonderful atmosphere. Went with friends to celebrate an achievement. Food took a while to come but overall it was an okay experience
2 /5 Zhylly Silvester: £20 down x4 small dry chewy pieces of meat. 4 plantain slices. Jollif rice nice but dry as thought it was a beef stew. Literally nothing to no sauce. Was dreaming of some nice African food so woke up to a nightmare. Not happy!! Do better!! Money doesn’t grow on trees. Stop pulling fast ones. You’ll lose customers like me. Smh.
5 /5 Professionalyapper: Wow wow wow absolutely amazing. The food was so tasty and full of flavour. The portion sizes were great and the fish was fresh from the grill. I came all the way from Kent to try this place and my tastebuds were satisfied. The owner was warm and welcoming and made sure that all our needs were met. There was a good vibe in the restaurant with entertainment and dancing. I would happily return.
Monika S We had a lovely time here after my son’s Confirmation. Brilliant food, served quickly, which was a feat considering how busy the place was. All the staff were very friendly and made our experience even better. Emily, the manager, answered all my questions when I was making the booking and ensured we got the prime spot - thank you! Fantastic place that I can definitely recommend x
adna noel Lives up to it’s name. It’s tasty. I tried the fish & chips. It was about £7 in July 2024, so it was affordable and delicious. It was run by an old gentleman who was friendly to me and it felt like I visited his home as he personally made the food on the spot. The kitchen is right behind the counter so I could hear and see him personally frying my food and it’s quite cute. It’s by a busy road but it’s a hidden gem. I highly recommend anyone to drop by and support him.
rajiv hadnt had the chance to check out the original in soho/chinatown but only heard good things so was excited to try it when a branch opened up on portobello. cool looking spot with great service.
the pork belly was tender with a nice crunch on top and came with a really nice, tangy sauce. sweetcorn fritters were crispy and moreish, we were sat at the bar so nice to see this all being made in front of us. our favourite starter though was the chicken and green mango salad, amazing dressing on this one (recommended by our server Nuria). the tom yam mama was another top dish, that soup is super flavourful and rich. the portions feel a bit small for the price but the food was all delicious
Jacin Absolutely lovely! The people are so friendly, food was amazing, and the environment was equal parts chill and cozy ☺️ Definitely a neighborhood staple and one not to be missed. I had the harissa eggs which looked spicy when it arrived but was actually just perfect and the avocado was so fresh!
