3 /5 Sami: I haven’t dined in yet, but I recently ordered my first takeaway and had mixed feelings about this place.
Firstly, the entrance was a little confusing as the door signage wasn’t clear. I initially pulled on the wrong door. Once inside, I even thought I might be in the wrong restaurant and was about to ask for help, until I noticed the brand name above the counter.
When I approached the till, the first staff member saw me but didn’t seem interested in engaging. I said hello and told him I was there to collect my takeaway. He was listening to music, looked at me briefly, then turned back to what he was doing. I was genuinely surprised that this kind of customer service was acceptable. It felt like he simply didn’t care.
A short while later, a young woman served me and her attitude was completely different. She greeted me warmly, was efficient, and served me with a smile. She clearly made the effort, which I appreciated.
I paid, collected my order, and left.
The food itself was good, but I only tried one dish, so I don’t feel I have enough experience yet to fully recommend the restaurant. I ordered jollof rice with goat meat and coleslaw, which cost £18.50. While tasty, it does feel slightly on the expensive side.
Side note: all their meat is halal.
