2 /5 SP Johns: Drove 10 minutes to The Anchor as heard good things. Okay fish and chips. Paid around £17 for large cod and chips. Fish was cooked fresh, batter lacking crisp a little. Chips slightly disappointing, bit dry - portion was generous, though expected for the price paid. Overall, cannot beat Seabream in Blendon (unfortunately they close on Monday). I am not a competitor, just the average customer giving an honest review.

5 /5 ozgul reshat: wow wow WOW! if there was a 10 star option it still wouldn’t be enough! the cod was amazing so fluffy and fresh. chips cooked to perfection i won’t be going anywhere else from now on. service was also amazing made me feel so comfortable and helped me choose my what to eat.

The chips were perfectly cooked too — fluffy inside with just the right crunch. The portion sizes were generous, and everything tasted freshly made to order. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and clearly take pride in what they do, which really adds to the overall experience. The shop was clean, well-presented, and the service was quick and efficient. It’s great to see a place maintaining such high standards — The Anchor is a real gem in Bexleyheath.
