5 /5 Phil Drayton: Here on Sunday, to celebrate a family birthday. We had 3 lovely Sunday lunches and a steak and ale pie. Our second visit and glad we returned. Generous portions of pork, lamb, beef, vegetables, and potatoes. The steak pie was rich and flavoursome all washed down with gravy. The staff are attentive and accommodated a request to move tables without hesitation. Thank you for a great Sunday roast birthday.

1 /5 Sasha Wilson: Would genuinely 0 stars if I could. Came here for my birthday and this place somehow managed to mess up literally everything. Food arrived stone cold. Not warm. Not “busy kitchen” cold. Just straight up cold like it had been sitting there forever. Service was beyond awful. My family clearly told staff the birthday cake was a surprise, yet the server loudly asked how many plates we needed for it, completely ruining it. Then, before even bringing the cake out, he announced: “I won’t be singing happy birthday by the way, that’s way above my pay grade.” No one asked. Just attitude for free. He also openly moaned about having to make two cocktails, like doing his actual job was some huge inconvenience. Wild behaviour. When the cake finally appeared, he dumped it at the wrong end of the table and refused to bring it to me. Instead, he told my family to move it themselves. On my birthday. After already ruining the surprise. Insane. To top it all off, every single plate and spoon we were given was dirty. Cold food, dirty dishes, rude staff, zero effort, zero professionalism. This place managed to turn a birthday celebration into a genuinely miserable experience. Do yourself a favour and go literally anywhere else.

Food was cold coming out after waiting around 45mins after the starters Bar staff moaned about making two cocktails Waiter ruined the surprise cake by asking how many plates we needed for the cake and also said he wouldn’t sing because he’s “on minimum wage” Didn’t light all the candles Handed the cake to the wrong side of the table Handed out dirty plates and cutlery We didn’t cause any problems and we’re very patient the whole time. Finding out the plates were dirty made us just get up and leave. Unfortunately you have to pay before you eat otherwise I would’ve suggested at the very least money off the bill. Completely ruined a family birthday meal and will never be going back again. Very sad

5 /5 Stuart B: Cant fault anything on my visit, the staff were friendly, food was really nice, I had a steak, it was cooked perfectly and well presented. Nice environment, looks recently renovated or well kept. Will definitely be back. Price was very reasonable too.

5 /5 Charlie Leahy: Great pub with a great atmosphere and selection of food. Had the sharer nachos and they were really good, would recommend. Also tried the burger and it was pretty nice for a pub burger. Service was brilliant as staff members were nice and food arrived fairly quickly.
