5 /5 Ryan Jacovides: First visit now it’s back to a proper pub, & it was great! Thanks.. Excellent roast, the beef was amazing. Smokey & perfectly cooked. Good drinks & price point is so good for the quality. Nice bar snacks too… Now a go to for a Sunday.. wlll book soon for the main menu.. long live a good pub!

4 /5 Ellie Pearce: The Food is still outstanding, atmosphere is nice but not as nice especially with the new sports screen addition. However attention to detail has been lost in regards to things such as giving us drinks menu, taking the order in a timely manner, mixture of horseradish cream and horseradish on the roast, wet napkins. Remains one of our favrouite places for a roast but I can assure you they won’t be getting the Michelin star back - and hey maybe that’s a good thing!

5 /5 Nicolò Meroni: The detour is so worth it. The food was incredibly fresh - it felt like I was eating a scallop for the first time ever (and I’m a big fan). Staff were very amicable and gentle. The oysters were beyond delicious. Fish was juicy and had the perfect contrast with its sauce. Bravo to the team

5 /5 Michal: Food was absolutely spectacular. Service was fantastic, the waiter was really attentive while not "overdoing" it with attention. Amazing price for the quality of food you get. I hope they get to keep the Michelin star/guide mention with the new ownership - really deserved. They are dog friendly, but mention it in the reservation. Would suggest booking during busy periods. Be mindful of parking as the spaces get taken quite fast.

James Bates Went for afternoon tea - 9 adults and 2 baby/toddlers - it was a magical experience with a lovely decorated table with crackers , plenty of tea and an astonishing number of sandwiches, both meat and vegetarian , all very well made - in fact we voted the sandwiches the best we had ever had at an afternoon tea - there were large numbers of scones and cakes - we took 6 boxes home !! All of it was well presented , the staff were lovely and all our party thoroughly enjoyed it . A hidden gem , in our opinion - and well worth a return journey - our party included visitors from Dubai and Germany and they will go home with some very good memories - try it , you won’t be disappointed . As to costs - less than £30 per adult seemed very fair .
